Circle charter
A Moai circle is a place to get together with people close to you. A few simple rules to keep it that way. They apply to all members and are part of the terms of use.
Among people close to you
- A circle is private. Only invite people the group knows.
- What is said and shown in the circle stays there: do not repost it elsewhere without the agreement of the people concerned.
- Talk as you would at the table: with respect, even when you disagree.
Other people's photos
- Before posting someone's photo, make sure they agree.
- If someone asks for a photo of them to be removed, remove it, without arguing.
- No photos taken in an intimate, embarrassing or humiliating moment.
Children
- A child's photo is only posted with their parents' agreement.
- No photos of a child undressed, in the bath or at the beach, even within the family.
- A parent can ask for a photo of their child to be removed at any time: from the person who posted it, from a circle admin, or from Moai using "Report".
- Moai is for people aged 16 or over: a child does not have an account.
What has no place in a circle
- Insults, harassment, threats, hateful remarks.
- Any content that is illegal, violent or sexual involving a minor.
- Advertising and commercial solicitations.
- A third party's private information (address, health, personal situation) posted without their agreement.
The role of admins and the owner
- They make sure the circle remains a place where everyone feels comfortable.
- They can remove content or a member that does not respect this charter.
- They have no access to members' settings or personal records.
If something is wrong
- Talk to the person concerned or to a circle admin.
- Use "Report" on the content or profile: the report goes to the Moai team, not to the other members.
- In immediate danger, call the emergency services (112).
Anyone can leave a circle at any time, without having to explain why.
